Just for fun, let us now watch
a video of a DRUM competition
with girls against the boys
playing snare DRUMs and bass(base) DRUMs.
(I normally do not show the whole video of the competition in class, due to time. However, I do like to skim through the video, as I watch the reactions of the students. If they really want to see it all, they will let you know.)
For those of you who do not have a snare DRUM
we can use buckets for a DRUM.
The next video is of some young men playing on some
bucket DRUMS.
Yes, a bucket DRUM is just using a
bucket like a DRUM.
In order to be able to play the drums,
we need to practice.
Let us now practice on our laps,
if a bucket is not available,
if a bucket is not available,

Now let us see if you can practice the rhythm
of hitting the beat on a DRUM, bucket, or lap.
But, before we practice the rhythm,
can you tell me what RHYTHM means?
RHYTHM means:
a strong repeated pattern of sound
or movement.
Just like the sound of playing drums.
Okay, now let us practice RHYTHM
