2-5 Grade B for Blues Music Lesson Plan by Mrs. Carol Louise Moore

Today in music,
we will be learning about the letter "B"
for the BLUES

And, yes, the BLUES is a type of music
that can be considered
rich in musical expression:
like happy, sad, angry, moody, mysterious, etc.

Here is a great video
on the History of the BLUES
WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Okay the following video is really for
my 4th and 5th grade students
who will be learning all about Elvis.
Here is Elvis singing "The Beach Boy BLUES"
from the movie "Blue Hawaii"
(Only one of my all time favorite movies)

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Do you have a favorite BLUES song?

Here is an example of what BLUES music sounds like
when it is sung in the BLUES style to help the
older kids learn about pronouns

Here is another example of BLUES music
for the younger kids
Just watch the first part to see the song.
Kids can watch the whole show at home, if they want.
I couldn't figure out how to trim the song out of the video

Sincerely,
 Mrs. Carol Louise Moore
